Mortgage Lending Bounces Back
Latest figures from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors this week showed the number of house hunters has risen for the first time in two years.
Stamp duty threshold rise from £125,000 to £175,000 which happened at the beginning of September is likely to have triggered the rise in buyers.
According to the Council of Mortgage Lenders first-time buyers rose by 15 per cent to 15,400 and the number of home movers rose 14 per cent to 24,500.
